The Edge of the Wedge is the only program in Canada to offer the kind of full immersion and hands on experiences that allows participants to develop new skills in; sustainable experiential product development; cutting edge marketing techniques; and partnership development.
There is a shift taking place in how visitors want to experience their destinations. People want to be connected, to understand and experience the local culture and traditions in low impact and sustainable ways. The challenge we have as operators and service providers is to create engaging visitor experiences in a way that allows for an intimate connection without harming that which people want to see and experience – the Edge of the Wedge will show you how to create those experiences and more!

Who is this program for?
- Businesses – both direct tourism businesses and support businesses
- Enablers – Federal, Provincial, Municipal employees who provide support to communities, organizations and businesses in the tourism field
- Non-profits – organizations that have a key role in supporting community based development or who offer tourism based product and services

- April 22 – 25, 2010
Cost : The cost for the program is $999.00 plus HST (*For Atlantic Canada Residents – For those outside of Atlantic Canada please contact GMIST for pricing)
Outside Atlantic Canada Pricing is $1495.oo plus HST. Please note those outside the region must make payment by phone or mail instead of Paypal.
Funding Available: ACOA provides 50% assistance for the GMIST Edge of the Wedge course to qualified Atlantic Canadian tourism operators for tuition, travel, meals, and accommodations. You may also qualify for a further 25% from your provincial tourism department! Contact us for more information!
